Amazon.com Re-opens to California Affiliates

Amazon is now able to re-open their program to previously banned California residents after Governor Jerry Brown repealed the ban this week.

This news comes as a semi-sweet victory to online affiliates like myself who were banned from a variety of affiliate programs across the internet this past summer.

The news came to me in an mail that Amazon sent out on October 5th…

California Governor Jerry Brown has signed legislation repealing the law that had forced us to terminate our California Associates. We are pleased to invite all California Associates whose accounts were closed due to the prior legislation to re-enroll in the Associates Program.

If you are an Amazon affiliate in California you might consider re-joining the program like I did and you will find that the links, widget, and astores you created are still intact. You will also learn that the re-opening is only temporary so stay tuned for further updates on when we can expect another decision on the matter.
