When I made the transition to a digital system I was left with a large pile of paper that has turned into a scratch paper pile which will then make it’s way into the recycle bin. As I watch the papers pile up I wonder what I will do in the future when I’ve grown my business to full capacity. Looking online for more information using keywords “business recycling” led me to Veolia, a company that offers environmental services, which has a page on their website which is all about recycling for businesses large and small. There is a section with information on how important it is to make a waste assesment through each department of your business and to determine which types of waste you are dealing with. Once you know what you are dealing with, Veolia suggests that you consider the ‘logistics’ of your recycling including the placement of reclying bins and appropriate relevant signage.

It doesn’t matter if you are working from home as a freelancer or with a company that offers a home business opportunity, the process is still the same. Following the process in my book “How to Work from Home Online: Your Guide to Becoming an Online Socialite”, you will learn that anyone can make money online when they set themselves up correctly but the most important step in the process is to ‘Get Active and Stay Visible’. For the most part this seems straightforward enough, but I realized that I have a strategy for remaining visible AUTOMATICALLY that I haven’t yet shared.

My secret strategy can be used as a marketing weapon and so it’s being packaged for distribution as we speak. I thought I would share it with you now and the bottom line is that I engage in internet “broadcasting”. There are places online that I consider to be my ‘channels’ and I created a schedule for posting content such as articles, photos, videos, and basic updates in a way that mimics a TV network, like direct tv. I use ScribeFire to schedule my content posts in advance and the result is consistent visibility online while I tend to other duties of my building my online empire.

My main concerns were in accurate time-tracking and being able to capture screenshots while my team is working. We were moving our system from a platform that used manual data input to a system with automatic input and output. There were so many tasks to handle that I set us up to use a Google Chrome Extension called Teambox because I thought it had Employee Monitoring Software. Teambox turns out to have Time Tracking Features that allow me to monitor the time it takes for each team member to complete a task, but there are no options for screenshots or keystroke tracking with their service. One site that I did find with time-tracking features along with the ability to capture screenshots is “My Team Monitor”. I don’t know if I like them so much because of the cute monkey in their logo or the fact that their service is FREE for as long as it’s in Beta; but either way I think their service is a great option for anyone looking to monitor their team online, or even for local teams who need a new way to track their time and productivity.
